A green trotro (commercial minibus) crashed into the fence wall of the Nima residence of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, July 16
The cause of the accident is yet to be officially established, but eyewitness accounts suggest the driver may have lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure.
According to an eyewitness, the trotro was heading from the Nima Roundabout towards the Nima Police Station when the unfortunate incident occurred.
“I saw the car speeding and the driver appeared to be struggling to control it. Then, suddenly, it veered off and rammed into the wall,” the eyewitness recounted.
The impact of the crash left a portion of the fence wall badly damaged. No injuries have been reported at the time of filing this report.
Police personnel swiftly arrived at the scene to secure the area and manage the situation.
More details are expected as the police continue their investigations.
