The Africa-China Centre for Policy & Advisory (ACCPA) has announced the opening of applications for the second edition of the Ghana–China Media Fellowship (GCMF) 2026, a fully funded programme designed to strengthen media capacity and deepen understanding of Ghana–China relations.

The 12-week hybrid fellowship targets journalists, media professionals, and content creators with a keen interest in international affairs, trade, diplomacy, and global development. It seeks to promote balanced, informed, and people-centred reporting on Africa–China engagement, while equipping participants with the skills and insights needed to analyse and communicate complex global partnerships.

ACCPA revealed, the fellowship forms part of its broader commitment to improving the quality of discourse on Africa–China relations and enhancing the role of the media in shaping public understanding of international cooperation. The programme combines virtual learning sessions with practical engagements, offering participants exposure to experts, policy discussions, and field-based learning opportunities.

The initiative also aims to build a strong network of media practitioners capable of producing high-quality, evidence-based reporting on Ghana’s development within the context of its relations with China.

Participants will benefit from mentorship, structured training modules, and collaborative learning experiences throughout the 12-week period.

ACCPA is encouraging qualified applicants across Ghana and beyond to apply, noting that the fellowship presents a unique opportunity for journalists and young media practitioners to expand their professional competencies and global outlook.

The application deadline for the 2026 cohort is June 5, 2026.
