National Security Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaians, urging them to desist from assaulting personnel of the nation’s security agencies.

He emphasized that the unacceptable practice of attacking security personnel in uniform must cease forthwith, and instead, encouraged the public to cooperate with security forces to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Speaking at a meeting with traditional leaders in the Northern Region on Tuesday June 25, Albert Kan-Dapaah emphasized the importance of supporting security personnel in their duties. He stressed that providing the necessary resources and assistance to security forces is crucial to enabling them to effectively maintain law and order, and ensure the safety and well-being of citizens.

He emphasized that the vital contributions and selfless services rendered by Ghana’s brave security personnel should be recognized and appreciated, rather than repaid with violence and attacks.”

“This is the time Ghanaians must learn to appreciate and support the work of the security agencies, the soldiers, the police, the immigration officers, the prison officers, and all the institutions that are involved in providing security.
They are the people who have made it possible for us to feel secure. Going forward, they are the people who provide the necessary services for us to feel secure. It shouldn’t happen that whatever the provocation, you should attack a police officer or a soldier or an immigration officer or an intelligence officer,” he said.
