Mankpanwura Jakpa Achor-Ade Borenyi I, Paramount Chief of Mankpan Traditional area has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to provide a Police station in his traditional area.
According to him, the Police post will not only be beneficial to Mankpan but it’s surrounding communities to maintain law and order.
Speaking at this year’s Damba Festival at Mankpan in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region, the Chief said, he is more concerned about the security of his subjects adding that a police station in the area will allow peace to prevail.
He seized the opportunity to charge the two main political parties to avoid derogatory statements to prevent violence before, during and after the 2024 elections.
