President John Dramani Mahama has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, for his unwavering dedication and service to the nation.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new IGP, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at the Jubilee House on Friday, March 14, President Mahama highlighted the significant contributions of Dr Dampare to law enforcement and national security in Ghana.

“Let me take this opportunity to also extend my deepest gratitude to the outgoing IGP. He has served our nation with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to law enforcement and national security will not be forgotten”.

The President acknowledged Dr Dampare’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens, emphasizing the lasting impact of his leadership on the Ghana Police Service.

“We thank him for his service and we wish him well in his future endeavors”.
