The District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa District, Isaac Yawson has emphasized the importance of sanitation in reducing diseases in the district. During a clean-up exercise at Morkwa Sibinso, he encouraged residents to take ownership of their environment and keep their communities clean.
Yawson noted that clean communities would reduce the government’s expenditure on medicine and promote overall well-being. He also advised residents to properly dispose of waste by burning it rather than relying on Zoomlion services.
The DCE further called for unity among residents, urging them to put aside partisan politics and work together towards developing the country.
The Morkwa Sibinso electoral area assembly member, George Frimpong, commended the DCE for implementing President John Mahama’s initiative on clean-up exercises and pledged the assembly members’ support for the district’s development.
