The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Thursday, December 25, Friday, December 26, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026, have been declared statutory public holidays across the country.
In a statement issued and signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), the Ministry said the dates mark Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day respectively and should be observed nationwide in accordance with Ghana’s public holidays laws.
The declaration means all public offices, institutions and businesses are expected to observe the holidays, except for essential services.
