Dr. Bawumia makes first official visit to NPP Headquarters; calls for unity and inclusion for a resounding victory in 2024

On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, His Excellency, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP flagbearer, paid a visit to the party headquarters. This visit was a major step towards the party’s goal of winning the upcoming elections in 2024.

Dr. Bawumia’s visit was not only a courtesy call but also an official engagement with the national leadership of the NPP, following his election as the party’s flag bearer on November 4, 2023. The National Executive body of the party and its staff welcomed him and expressed their dedication to working tirelessly to secure a historic victory in the 2024 elections.

In his welcoming address, Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the NPP, commended Dr. Bawumia and his team for their swift visit to the party headquarters, despite the demanding flagbearership campaign. He assured everyone of the party’s commitment to unity and collaboration in the pursuit of victory.

Dr. Bawumia, in his opening address, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and praised the party’s leadership for their dedication to organizing a transparent, free, and fair Presidential Primaries, which had received praise from all quarters. He pledged to be a unifying figure and reach out to all stakeholders, regardless of class, religion, identity, or place of origin.

Furthermore, Dr. Bawumia promised to urgently engage with other aspirants from the Presidential Primaries and remain open to the opinions, advice, and suggestions of all party stakeholders. He emphasized the accessibility of his office to all party members and collaboration with the party headquarters, which he described as the engine of the NPP.

Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the National Chairman of the party, reiterated the importance of unity and collaboration among all party stakeholders.

Several national officers and key figures attended the meeting, including Mr. Danquah Smith Buttey, Madam Rita Asobayire, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, Dr. Charles Dwamena, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, Madam Kate Gyamfua, Mr. Salam Mustapha, and Alhaji Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa. The gathering was also graced by several deputy national officials, further showcasing the party’s commitment to a collective effort.

Accompanying Dr. Bawumia were Mr. Fred Oware, Dr. Augustine Blay, Mr. Samuel Awuku, and Mr. Anthony Abayifa Karbo. The unity and determination displayed during this historic visit set a promising tone for the NPP as they gear up for the 2024 elections
