The Electoral Commission (EC) has officially presented the final voters’ register for the 2024 election to political parties.

The register includes the names of eligible voters for the upcoming December 7 election.

EC Chairperson Jean Mensa presented the register during a meeting with party representatives on Wednesday, November 6.

Speaking to the media, she stated that this presentation fulfills a commitment made at the last IPAC meeting, where a soft copy was initially provided.

She highlighted that, since issuing the template, no political party has submitted any complaints or feedback.

“At the meeting of IPAC on October 15, we indicated that this presentation would be made to you by the end of the first week of November. However, with the help of God, we have been able to do that two days before the 8th, which signifies the end of the first week of November.

“Following the exhibition of the revised PVR, the commission received a total of 158 issues from voters across the country,” she said.

She emphasized the crucial role of the register in ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process.

“I am pleased to note that all the issues have been resolved, and as we speak, we have no further issues regarding the final voters’ register. I am pleased to note that we now have a robust and credible final certified voters’ register, which is fit to deliver a credible, transparent, fair, peaceful, and glorious election on December 7, 2024,” she stated.
