The Electoral Commission (EC) has released the current voters register statistics, providing a detailed outline of voters ahead of the December 7th elections.
The Electoral Commission (EC) indicated that, the total number of valid voters stands at 18,772,251, with 708,280 as first-time voters.
The total number of registered females are 9,689,987, representing a total of 51.62% and 9,082,264, representing 48.38% as males.
Special voters, who include security personnel and election officials, are a total of 131,476, and 332,107 as the total number of transfers, with 311,344 as total number of transferred voters.
Also, the proxy voters list contains a total of 2,142 names.
The register also highlights some irregularities, with 33,536 names on the exception list and 26,790 on the multiples list.
The missing voters list includes 1,273 individuals whose details need to be verified.
