Some branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who were involved in a protest at the party’s office on January 24 have issued a heartfelt apology for their actions.

The protest, which saw members vandalizing party property, was aimed at demanding a ministerial appointment for James Kofi Annan, the Effutu parliamentary candidate.

The group in a press conference, expressed deep regret over their actions, acknowledging that their conduct was inappropriate and harmful to the party’s reputation.

“We, the Concerned Branch Executives of the NDC in the Effutu constituency, want to express our deep regret for our actions during our January 24 demonstration. We write to apologize for our regrettable actions”.

Angela Mensah, who spoke on behalf of the group, admitted that a more diplomatic approach should have been taken to voice their concerns, rather than resorting to destructive behavior.

She emphasized their commitment to finding more constructive ways to address grievances in the future.

“Our behavior was unacceptable, and we understand our actions have caused more harm than good to the party’s reputation”.
