The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed that the much-anticipated results of the 2024 presidential election will be announced at 4:30PM today.

This announcement comes nearly 48 hours after polls closed nationwide, as the commission finalizes its collation and verification processes.

Addressing the press, Deputy Chair in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey said the EC has received 13 out of the 16 regional results.

He emphasized that the declaration of results will be made at the National Collation Center by the designated returning officer who is the Chairperson of the Commission, Madam Jean Mensah.

He reiterated the commission’s commitment to ensuring transparency in the process, urging members of the public and political party supporters to avoid crowding the National Collation Center. He said only accredited individuals will be allowed access to the facility.

He further advised the general public to watch the declaration of results through the live broadcast and refrain from any acts that could disrupt the process. This measure, the EC noted, is intended to maintain order and ensure a smooth announcement of the presidential election results.
