The most-watched girl talk show in the country, Girl Vibes, which is aired on eTV Ghana, has been adjudged the Best Female TV show of the year at the just-ended Women in Entrepreneurship Awards (WIEA).

Girl Vibes, in less than two years since its inception, has bagged a number of prestigious awards and the WIEA’s Best Female TV show of the year award is the latest addition to the collection of plaques.

The Women in Entrepreneurship Awards (WIEA) was launched by the Women in Entrepreneurship -Ghana (WIEG), with the aim of recognizing and honouring female entrepreneurs contributing to economic growth and driving the women empowerment agenda.

This event is the first of it’s kind to be hosted in the country and the host of the award-winning Girl Vibes TV show, Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess, also happened to be the moderator of the event.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mercy Bee shared, “words will not be enough to express how elated I’m feeling as the Almighty has done it again. Last night at the Women in Entrepreneurship Awards, Team Girl Vibes was honoured to receive the Best Female TV Show of the year award for empowering young women in entrepreneurship”.

This is a big achievement to me and I know there’s more to come. On behalf of the team and myself, we dedicate this award to the CEO of Global Media Alliance, Mr Ernest Boateng, for the role he has played towards the young show, Girl Vibes. He proposed the name of the show and this shows how dear it is to him. To our viewers, team Girl Vibes says thank you for staying with us. God bless us all and cheers to many more awards to come”, she added.

Mr Cosby Bikpe, Programmes Manager of eTV Ghana, also said, “Mercy Bee and the whole Girl Vibes team is very hardworking and I’m happy to see all their hard work paying off. This award is well deserved and we say a big thank you to our viewers and everyone who voted as well as everyone who tunes in to Girl Vibes every Tuesday to support. This award is for us all”.

The Women in Entrepreneurship Awards was held at the Accra Tourism Information Centre on the 13th of November, 2021.
