FA Cup Final Match Not Determinant Of My Future – Polack

Asante Kotoko head coach George Steve Polack is unhappy with the state of his contract status with the record premier league title holders, describing his future at the club as being in the balance.
Polack who took over the job after Croatian gaffer Dzravko Lugarusic was fired in April for poor run of results, was appointed on interim basis to handle the club till the end of the 2017 league season, with an option to extend with one additional year.
Kotoko however is yet to open negotiations with the former Berekum Chelsea manager regarding his contract with the club, a situation which has left many speculating that his chances of getting a new offer from the club, hugely hinges on the outcome of the MTN FA cup final match against the rejuvenated and bitter rival Accra Hearts of Oak on October 29.
Addressing the press after the 1-0 home win over Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, Polack opened up on his future with Kotoko when asked by the press.
”No, for me no,why” Polack began when asked whether his future depends on the MTN FA cup final match outcome. “ I don’t think my future should depend on the cup final, that am 100% sure, I don’t it should be, well, I don’t know what they think, you know, if that’s what they think then that’s fine but, for me it’s not and if they know that means they should have told me long time ago. They should say we would give a contract if you win the cup final”.
As usual, coach Steve Polack makes it clear that issues of his contracts solely depends on the management of the club; “ Like I said it is up to the management and not me, they have to make a decision but they have to make it very quickly because my future is in the balance”, he stated.
