The Ghana Football Association and betPawa have formalised a renewed partnership at the Best Western Premier Hotel, Airport, Accra.

Under the new agreement, betPawa will extend its celebrated Locker Room Bonus initiative to both the Black Stars and Black Queens as the teams prepare for FIFA World Cup and the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Queens are expected to earn Gh¢20,000 for each game won under the new partnership

betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing & CSR, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said: “Our role is not simply to sponsor football, but to stand behind those dreams and help create the conditions for success”.

betPawa’s track record with the GFA so far:
1. Headline Sponsor, Ghana Premier League: Announced August 3, 2022 for 3 seasons. They also cut sod for betPawa Park, a FIFA-standard pitch at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence, Prampram.
2. Locker Room Bonus: GH₵400 paid directly to players for every match won in the GPL. Extended to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League for the 2025/26 season and to the Women’s FA Cup from the round of 16. Over 7,000 players have benefited, with GH₵1.9m paid out.
3. Grassroots support: On December 30, 2024, betPawa donated kits, boots, balls, and first aid equipment to 4 clubs, plus 20 mattresses to Ampem Darkoa Ladies after their hostel fire.
