Members of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Board have paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings to congratulate her on her election as the 2nd Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament.
The meeting focused on discussions aimed at strengthening policies that prioritise the wellbeing of people across Ghana and the African continent.
The engagement also highlighted Ghana’s role within the Pan-African Parliament, particularly its position as Chair of the Health Committee.
Discussions explored ways the country could use that leadership role to deepen continental collaboration, influence progressive health policies and promote improved healthcare outcomes for Africans.
Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings expressed appreciation to the NHIA Board members for their encouragement and support, while reaffirming her commitment to sustained collaboration in advancing healthcare and social protection initiatives.
The visit underscored the growing importance of partnerships between national institutions and continental bodies in addressing healthcare challenges and improving social welfare across Africa.
