The Deputy Minister for Defence, Brogya Genfi, has hosted the Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tamás Endre Fehér, at the Ministry of Defence in Accra to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s forecourt, was attended by directors of the Ministry of Defence Ghana and forms part of ongoing discussions to enhance collaboration in defence-related areas, particularly training exchange and strategic partnerships.
In a facebook post, Mr. Genfi revealed that the engagement also focused on a strategic partnership between the Defence Industries Holding Company Limited (DIHOC) and Hungarian companies for the development of a comprehensive poultry project aimed at supporting food security within the Ghana Armed Forces.
He expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Fehér for his commitment to deepening cooperation between Ghana and Hungary, emphasizing that such partnerships would promote innovation, resilience, and mutual growth.
The Hungarian Ambassador was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission and the Director for Trade at the Embassy.
According to Mr. Genfi, the ongoing collaboration reflects Ghana’s determination to build sustainable defence capacities while advancing food security initiatives that contribute to national development.
