Ghanaian comedian, Timothy Musah Junior populary known as MJ The Comedian believes Ghana has failed in showcasing its history, customs and heritage to her generations and beyond.

He noted that the media is underutilized in portraying our culture as our leaders care less about representing the story of our past to Africa and the world.

“Do you know that we don’t have a full movie about the history of Ghana. Such movies are to be sponsored by the government. Our children will learn from it to be well informed of our history and know historical places in Ghana,” he told Akua Sika on Happy 98.9FM’s ‘Happy Evening Drive’

He highlighted the absence of songs that portray our history as Ghanaians and the lack of initiative on the part of our leaders in consulting our past presidents and leaders to obtain valuable insights and information of our past.

“We don’t have any song that portrays our history. We don’t have stories about our past presidents. When Rawlings was alive, we had the opportunity to ask him to tell us real stories so we could put them into visuals. We put it in movies to sell Ghana more,” he stated.

The comic actor further expressed his concern on the lack of focus of our leaders as well as their lackadaisical approach to implementing visionary policies. Citing examples of some uncompleted projects left by previous governments and failure on the part of the government in power in completing such projects, he called out on the leaders to set policies ensuring that projects initiated by past governments are completed before new ones are started.

Though his passion is set on political issues and yearns to see Ghana in a better governing position with selfless leaders and working visionary policies, he explicitly stated that he has no interest in joining politics.
