The Government of Ghana has deployed 54 soldiers to Jamaica in support of an international mission aimed at aiding the country’s reconstruction efforts.
The deployment reflects Ghana’s commitment to regional and global cooperation, particularly in supporting countries undertaking recovery and rebuilding initiatives.
The personnel, drawn from the Ghana Armed Forces, are expected to offer technical, logistical and operational assistance to ongoing projects in Jamaica.
Officials say the mission further demonstrates Ghana’s active role in international peacekeeping and humanitarian support, in line with its long-standing tradition of contributing troops to promote stability and development beyond its borders.
The soldiers have undergone the requisite training to enable them operate effectively within a multinational setting.
