Ghanaian showbiz lovers do not like the truth – Edem

Ghanaian Hiplife Artiste, Denning Edem Hotor, popularly known as ‘Edem’, in an interview with DJ Advicer, Host of ‘Ayekoo After Drive Show’, has disclosed how Ghanaian showbiz lovers dislike the truth.

The award-winning musician and leader of VRMG, on Thursday said ‘’All the big money that people talk about that are charges, are debatable until people start bringing out their contracts. People have to prove that, hey! I’m a young artiste but I have been able to pull out GHS100,000 so I think you should also charge the same. “

Show organizers pay artistes realistically now. If people say they charge GHS200,000, is that realistic? I mean the people who follow showbiz do not like the truth and radio doesn’t like the truth. If radio liked the truth, they would do articles on people who go and make donations and not do articles on people they’ve heard have gotten pregnant for somebody. All that the artistes are doing now is just playing the games that people like.“

Edem has done Reggae, Dancehall, Highlife, Afro-pop and Hiplife among other genre of music. His latest track is ‘’Politics’.
