The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported an increase in Mpox cases, with nine new confirmed cases bringing the total to 107.
This update comes after previous reports of 98 total cases, indicating a rise in infections.
While the number of cases is increasing, the GHS maintains that there have been no new deaths and no active hospital admissions related to Mpox.
GHS continues to urge the public to practice good hygiene, including frequent handwashing, and to avoid close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms.
They are also actively conducting contact tracing to identify and isolate potential cases to prevent further spread.
The GHS is also increasing surveillance and community education efforts.
