Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed government’s commitment to equipping the Ghana Navy to safeguard the country’s maritime space and drive the national Blue Economy agenda.

Acknowledging operational constraints, the Vice President noted challenges such as inadequate platforms and facilities, stressing that the government is exploring all avenues to better resource the Navy. “We will tackle the other challenges with the urgency they deserve,” she assured.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also urged naval personnel to maintain professionalism and deepen collaboration with other maritime stakeholders to enhance security and preserve Ghana’s territorial integrity.
