Wendy Shay led the pack of artistes to wow patrons at the first ever ‘Happy FM Forecourt Party’ held on Friday 2nd August, 2019 in Asylum Down, Accra. It was really a night to remember.

Wendy Shay, whom many believe is currently the hardest working female artiste in Ghana, charged up the forecourt of Happy FM studios when she mounted the stage to perform her hit songs ‘Uber Driver’ ‘Masakra’ Astalavista among others.

Wutah Kobby, also dazzled patrons with his songs Bronya, Kotosa among others.

New artiste, Fameye got everyone singing with some screaming the lyrics of his ‘Nothing I get’ tune.

Ayesem, Agbeshie, MZ Kiki, Zee Tm, AJ Nelson, Yaw Stone, Dada Hafco, Paa Kwesi and Kwami Zaggy also wowed the crowd with their hit songs and superb stage craft.

The other performers were, Akosua Gold, Kyei Nwom, Nenesenor, through to Efe Keyz who did a splendid cover of Bob Marley’s ‘No woman no cry’ to thrill the enthusiastic crowd back to back.

Foster Romanus host of e.TV Ghana’s ‘Late Nite Celebrity’ show and one of Ghana’s biggest comedians, opened the show with a live band rendition of Samini’s classics including ‘Linda’, ‘where my baby dey’ and a host of other songs to the admiration of the scores of people gathered at the forecourt of Happy FM studios.

DJ Scary, assistant disc jockey on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ nearly turned the forecourt into a club when he took the turntables to play a string of hit songs ranging from high-life, hip-life, afro-pop to hip hop

Speaking at the side-lines of the Happy Forecourt Party, Programmes Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah thanked all the artists who performed their heart out. “I have always said Happy is blessed with very loyal supporters and listeners and yesterday re-echoed that assertion, every single person here defied the rains to make the Forecourt party a success’’ he stated.

Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah also commended Stars Biscuits, Kri8 Music and Suze for their enormous support.

DJ Advicer who was host of the ‘Happy Forecourt Party’ seamlessly coordinated the event to the admiration of the crowd. He interacted with the crowd, including them in every aspect of show. Many believed his finesse as a host gave the party the boost and groove it needed.
