Happy FM Mass wedding joins disabled and his girlfriend in holy matrimony

The 14th edition of the Happy FM Mass Wedding, which came off on the 14th of February with 14 couples at the National Theatre, did not only see couples being bound by their love, but also portrayed equity in humanity by portraying a couple’s boundless love to the world.

Christian Salvo and his wife Roseta Amoah, now Mr. And Mrs. Salvo, had the audience awestruck as the groom’s case of being crippled did not stop them from binding their love and their lives in a matrimonial ceremony.

Speaking to one of the guests after the event, he shared his whole experience and how glad he was for deciding to attend Happy Fm’s 14th Mass Wedding ceremony. The guest, who described himself as Mr. Clifford Hammond, shared that he has heard of mass weddings being organized in some parts of the world but rarely in Ghana, hence hearing of Happy FM’s initiative , he thought of it as a great step and always wanted to attend but this was the first time he was able to make time for it.

Mr. Hammond stated that before attending the Happy FM Mass Wedding ceremony, he always thought that mass ceremonies were usually not as eye-catching because weddings involve a lot of cost, not to talk of a mass wedding but upon entering the auditorium, he was lost for words.

‘’You know here in Ghana, you seldom hear of mass weddings and even when it is done, it’s probably just some normal church service where couples exchange vows together. However, knowing how Happy FM always likes to do the extraordinary, I have always been eager to attend one of their mass weddings and this year’s 14 number dominance gave it a special effect so I had to make time to be here’’, he said.

Clifford continued, ‘’When I got here, the number of people I saw entering the auditorium, I must admit was very very overwhelming and the moment I entered, I was stuck in awe as my eyes landed on the beautiful alignment of flowers on each side of the red carpet, the whole front filled with people, stands packed with snacks for guests and presentable ushers conveying and assigning each guest to a seat in the auditorium’’

‘’I entered the auditorium and behold, the sight! From the huge LED screen to the lights, down to the beautiful fabrics designed all round the auditorium with Happy FM’s strong red and yellow colors, the couples’ seats, band and choir perfectly positioned in a way that made the stage look very ordered and in the least bit crowded. I knew then that deciding to come was the best decision I could have made today.

The powerful performances and song ministration from reputable gospel musicians and the choir, not forgetting the band as well as the praise and worship session with Foster, had me thinking I had seen it all till it was time for the grooms to enter. They all looked very dashing but the one man that caught my eye and utmost affection was the crippled man. From where I was seated, I could barely see him since he was brought in from backstage but after a while, I wasn’t eager to see the man, but the humble woman who was willing to dedicate her whole life to loving him. That really is rare’’, he added.

‘’When it was time for the brides to walk in, I just moved closer to the stage so I could have a good look at her and when I did, I just found myself shouting ‘God bless you’ till the lady took her seat’’.

Clifford said that he had never seen love so pure and strong, and he thanked Happy FM for using their resource and platform to portray this beautiful couple and their boundless love to the world. He believes it will be a teaching guide to young and coming ones that love is not in perfection but rather love makes you see perfection.
