Happy FM's Joe Debrah lands WAFU appointment

Ace Happy FM sports presenter Aminu Mohammed, widely know as Joe Debrah has been appointed as the liaison officer for the Malian team for the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup slated for the 9th of September to the 24th of September.
The tournament, which will be played in Cape Coast and Elmina, will see 16 countries contesting for honours in the competition which had gone into hibernation for a while.
Joe Debrah, who speaks fluent French, is expected to meet the Malians on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport on Friday and ensure they go through the necessary protocol processes as well as leading them to their base for the tournament while ensuring they are adequately catered for.
The Malian side will open their WAFU Cup account on Monday as they lock horns with their Mauritanian counterparts at 3:00pm at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The WAFU Cup is primarily a competition for local players in the respective countries West African sub-region.
It will be recollected that Joe Debrah served as a Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) interpreter during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Equatorial Guinea where Ghana placed runners-up.
