Haruna Iddrisu outlines plans to boost national development

MP for Tamale South and Former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has petitioned the Speaker relying on order 99 as well as anchoring his application on order 18 to declare 3 seats of majority MPs standing as independent candidates.

The seats include Agona West, Suhum,Amenfi Central and Fomena

At a media encounter held with members of the parliamentary press corps, majority leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin confirmed that yes indeed,he’s received a copy of the memo.

However the majority leader disclosed that he has not been served by the members in question as the head of the caucus of their intention to exit.

Hence in his capacity as the caucus leader, he has filed a writ and parliament has been duly served.

He noted the it will be placed on ice until the Supreme Court determines the matter.
