The Ghana Football Association has given reasons for the silence of president Kurt Okraku in the ongoing debate on the murder of Asante Kotoko supporter Nana Pooley.

The silence of GFA president Kurt Okraku has been hugely criticized with critics claiming that he is busily campaigning for his CAF Exco elections in neighboring countries.

However, Nana Oduro Sarfo, an Executive Council Member of the GFA in a meeting with the Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko in Kumasi revealed that Kurt is currently out of the country receiving medical care.

“Since the incident occurred, he has not spoken publicly. The reason is that Kurt is not feeling well and is currently not in the country. If he was well, he would have been the first to visit Kotoko’s camp. Once he recovers and returns safely, he will be here,” Sarfo Oduro stated.

Meanwhile, Nana Apinkra, the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Asante Kotoko has issued a strong warning to the GFA, insisting that they will not resume football activities unless their concerns are fully addressed.
