Hot Audio: I wish Wisa Greid was jailed like Montie 3 – says entertainment guru

Entertainment critic and regular panel member on Happy FM’s ‘Showbiz Xtra’, James Kwesi Oberko, fondly known in the music industry as ‘Jamester’ has added his voice to Hiplife artiste, Eugene Ashie, better known as Wisa Greid court case for showing off his manhood whiles performing on stage.
According to ‘Jamester’, there is no feud between him and the beleaguered artiste, but he believes the Hiplife genre is filled with too many profanity hence Wisa should have been jailed to serve as a deterrent to the others.
Speaking to Dr Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, ‘Jamester’ stated that, “We’ve complained about these kinds of things in our showbiz where people do things in the name of showbiz. We will keep doing showbiz and people will keep taking advantage of it to do unlawful things.”
“I keep saying that you can do showbiz, you have all the traction for your yourself, you can have all the relevance in the system without flouting the law but once you do things to fault the law and call it showbiz and for that reason we should hail you, I won’t subscribe to that.”
“I would have wished for one month or two months sentence for him. If you look at all that has come up in this country in the name of showbiz, the only way we can save and instill discipline in the system is the state regulation which is the law court.”
“When an artiste is performing and there is a costume malfunction, everybody will see it’s a malfunction but I can say that he deliberately did the heinous act because the court has ruled and convicted him. I was praying that apart from the fine he should be jailed for one or two months.”
“I’m saying that because the idea will not be to destroy him but to let him go and come to bear testimony of the freedom of being free just like the Montie 3, so when I felt sad when I heard of the ¢8,400 fine. At least one week in Nsawam prison would have been okay. The only time he will remember to expose his manhood will be when he’s in his bedroom or feeling to urinate,” Jamester deduced.
Wisa was on trial for two years for allegedly showing his manhood on stage at Citi FM’s Decemba 2 Rememba concert in 2015.
After 2 and half years, the trial came to an end at the Accra Circuit Court on 30th April 2018 where he was found guilty of indecent exposure and slapped him with ¢8,400 fine.
