Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohonu has reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Bole, Savannah Region.
During a working visit to the Savannah Regional Police Headquarters in Damongo, Mr. Yohonu met with the Special Operations Team deployed to Bole, commending their dedication and urging them to remain disciplined, vigilant, and ethical.
“The nation counts on your professionalism and commitment. Stay alert, stay united, and continue working collaboratively with other security agencies to enhance coordination and efficiency,” he said.
The IGP directed intensified daily patrols, especially in boundary areas where displacement has been reported, and called for special protection for vulnerable communities to prevent conflict escalation.
He also stressed stronger inter-agency cooperation to boost crime prevention and stability.
Police say the Special Operations Team’s ongoing presence in Bole, through patrols, intelligence gathering, and conflict prevention has already helped stabilise the area and restore public confidence.
