WAEC to release 2025 BECE private candidate results today The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that results for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for private candidates will be released by the end of today, Friday, September 5. Speaking at a media briefing, WAEC’s Public Relations Officer, John Kapi, confirmed the release timeline and shared key statistics. “A total of 1,661 private candidates, 858 males and 803 females, registered for this year’s BECE. This marks a 19.49% increase compared to last year,” he stated. According to John Kapi, the provisional results for school candidates were released earlier on August 23, with 603,328 students participating from 20,395 schools. 26th May 2020

For Immediate Release

Good afternoon to you all.

My attention has been drawn to a malicious allegation making rounds that i, Alexander Martey, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Ningo prampram is personally meddling in the ongoing campaign at Bortiano Ngleshie Amanfrom (BNA) Constituency. I want to state categorically clear that this is false and a total fabrication concocted to tarnish my name and my hard earn reputation. My interest is to add more seats by wrestling the seat of Ningo-Prampram from the NDC and to maximize the gains of NPP. Our common enemy is not the NPP but the NDC. I have not in person or through any means had anything to do with the campaign in BNA whatsoever. There is so much on me to do in Ningo-Prampram to win that seat for NPP. I will like to caution those peddling this falsehood to desist from it or have me to content with in court for defamation of character.

Finally, I want to encourage those person(s) to focus on their primaries, because I am hundred percent focused on mine (Ningo Prampram). My intention is to capture the Ningo Prampram Constituency Seat, as the next Member of Parliament and impact positively in the lives of the people. That is my main aim and focus and not to meddle in the affairs that would neither help nor enhance my chances in winning the upcoming election.

….. Signed….
Alexander L. Martey
NPP Parliamentary Candidate
Ningo-Prampram
