The International Relations and Diplomacy Network-Ghana (IRDN Ghana) has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

This forms part of the association’s efforts to introduce themselves and build ties with various stakeholders in the diplomatic community.

The Convener and Patron of the the International Relations and Diplomacy Network Ghana, Professor Lord Mawuko-Yevugah was accompanied by some members of the Executive Committee for this visit.

Receiving the IRDN delegation on behalf of the Minister and the Chief Director was Ambassador Hannah Nyarko
Coordinating Director/Political & Economic.

She expressed gratitude on behalf of the ministry for the visit. Amb Nyarko, who was Ghana’s former Ambassador to Israel, hopes that as the first of its kind, a professional body in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy, the Network will endeavor to reach out to as many professionals, scholars and students in the international relations and diplomacy ecosystem as possible.

On his part, Prof Lord Mawuko-Yevugah reiterated the Network’s commitment to harnessing all talents to enrich the national discourse on the country’s international and diplomatic relations, noting that for a long time, there has been a big gap between theory and practice when it comes to the country’s international relations. This noted, had robbed the country of effective public diplomacy.

Members of the delegation took turns to share some future activities of the network, including global policy dialogues, training programs, publications, and many more.

The delegation included Mrs. Eunice Dede Tornyi, Head of the IMC, Mr. Samson Nii Anang, Deputy Head of the IMC in charge of Operations, Samantha Wuta-Ofei, Coordinator for Education and Training, and Mrs Deborah Bonney, Coordinator for Public Relations.
