And on Thursday, the league board presented the trophy to the bankroller of Uncle-T FC, Mr Issac Tetteh, who has been a great advocate of the organization and he lavished praises on the board for their effort to make the sport a worthwhile.
“You have done what Napoleon could not do.” Mr Tetteh stated.
“I’m happy with the progress of the sport and I believe it’s going to get even bigger and better as time goes on. We are all here to support the league and with the belief I have in the administration, the sport shall thrive.”
The league will see eight teams from the various regions competing for the coveted trophy.
The Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region and Central Region were the selected regions for the league.
Winners of the competition will take home a trophy and a cash of $20,000 while 2nd and 3rd place teams will pocket $15,000 and $10000 respectively.
