The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has its hopes high that it will have a resounding victory at the general elections which they say will be backed by divine intervention.
According to the party, while it has done its part through its campaigns, it has turned to God to “shower blessings” on the NDC come December 7th.
This was expounded by the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the party, Edem Agbana on the Happy Morning Show with Samuel Eshun.
“With three days to the elections, we as a political party have done all that we need to do. It is our prayer that God will bless us or shower his blessings on us so that on Monday, Ghanaians will crown our campaign with victory.
President Mahama has come down from the Volta and Oti Region to visit a certain constituency in Accra and he will continue that tomorrow. We have divided ourselves in the various regions to campaign. But we know very well that victory is coming our way. It is only God who gives victory. But if you look at the work we have done and the response we are getting we are very confident that come Monday, John Dramani Mahama will be elected president of the country”.
Edem touted that the Ghanaian populace has very well accepted the NDC’s manifesto that has policies tailored to different groups in the country.
Our manifesto is the people’s manifesto so every group has what it accepts. For example, the tertiary students like the ‘Kyemu Pe’ policy and the ‘Fa Nyinaa’ policy. The drivers are interested in the informal pension scheme. But the generality of the Ghanaians population are interested in the free primary healthcare”, he added.
On December 7th 2020, Ghanaians will go to the polls to elect a president and parliamentary members to steer the affairs of the country.
