John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has refuted a claim circulating on social media about a supposed campaign donation link.

The link, which is falsely associated with his campaign, purports to offer financial aid to Ghanaians.

Labeled as the “John Dramani Mahama 500GHS Campaign Fund for Ghanaians,” the link suggests that Ghanaians can qualify to receive five hundred Ghana cedis by answering four questions. This has drawn significant attention on social media, with many users questioning its authenticity.

In response, former President Mahama posted a warning on his official Instagram page, captioned “FAKE!!!,” to clarify that no such funding exists. He urged all followers and supporters of the NDC to disregard the link.

Some NDC supporters have speculated that this may be a deliberate attempt by opponents to tarnish the party’s image.
