The OneGhana Movement and the Coalition of June 3 Victims have called on President John Dramani Mahama to, as part of his Reset Agenda, help secure justice for the victims, eleven years after the incident.
Speaking at a press conference, the Convener of the OneGhana Movement, Senyo Hosi, stressed that many survivors continue to live with the long-term consequences of the tragedy, including physical disabilities, emotional trauma, and loss of livelihoods.
He emphasized that some victims lost their hearing, others lost their sources of income, while several families were completely devastated by the disaster.
He noted that despite these hardships, justice has remained out of reach for more than a decade.
Mr. Hosi called on President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that the victims are compensated as part of his Reset Agenda.
He further urged the government and relevant state institutions to ensure accountability and provide compensation to affected individuals and families.
