The Parliament of Ghana has congratulated Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings on her election as Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament.
The commendation was delivered on the floor of the House by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, who read a communication from the President of the Pan-African Parliament formally informing Ghana’s Parliament of her election.
Speaker Bagbin noted that the Pan-African Parliament expressed appreciation for the support extended by Ghana’s Parliament to Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings throughout the election process.
He further highlighted the achievements of Ghana’s delegation to the Pan-African Parliament, stating that its members had distinguished themselves by securing several key positions within the continental legislative body.
The positions include Bernard Ahiafor as a member of the Rules Committee, Frank Annoh-Dompreh as Chairman of the Health Committee, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor as a member of the Finance Committee, and Collins Dauda as a member of the Trade Committee.
Speaker emphasized, these appointments reflect the growing influence and active participation of Ghana’s parliamentary delegation within the Pan-African Parliament.
