The Korle Klottey Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alfred Gaisie, has granted traders in Kantamanto a temporary grace period of two days to operate on the streets.
Acknowledging Kantamanto’s role as a key commercial hub, the MCE stated that municipal authorities would allow traders to conduct business on the streets for these two days before enforcing relocation measures.
He assured affected traders that provision is being made to accommodate those lacking space, ensuring a smoother transition.
“This initiative is for the greater good and we aim to keep Accra clean, improve vehicular movement, and ensure pedestrian safety.
We urge everyone to support the exercise for the best possible outcome,” he emphasized.
