Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has described his political party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a ‘sick party’ which doesn’t learn from their mistakes.

The maverick politician speaking on Adom TV Tuesday as monitored by Happyghana.com said the party will always suffer because it’s leaders never want to learn from their past experiences in government and amend their ways.

“Are we mad? NPP is sick, we also have competent people to run affairs but we don’t learn, we are sick…,” he said in Twi.

An angry Ken Agyapong said this while reacting to claims that the NPP has performed poorly while in power.

To him, Ghanaians believe the NPP is performing poorly because the party has failed to propagate its own success story.

Ken Agyapong further warned that the NPP will lose the elections like it did in 2008 if they fail to tackle real issues at the ground.

“NPP we don’t learn because under President Kufour’s administration, he did marvelously well but apathy set in and we lost…,” he said.

He therefore urged the Akufo-Addo administration to move from theories and become practical so they can continue to enjoy the support of Ghanaians.

“NPP mostly, we are theorists, we are not practical, we need to go to the ground because GDP to the ordinary Ghanaian is money in their pockets and not the bundling of figures around…,” he said.
