Kenichi will transform Inter Allies – Delali Senaya

Officials of Inter Allies believe hysterical American-born Japanese coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, has the magic wand to turn their fortunes around when he arrives this week to take charge of the club.
The 47-year-old former Accra Hearts of Oak coach will take over from Karim Zito who managed to steer the club out of relegations last season with a mandate to turn the fortunes of the Tema-based club.
Confirming the coach’s arrival to the Graphic Sports yesterday, deputy CEO of the club, Delali Senaya, said they settled on the Japanese trainer because of his depth of knowledge in the coaching profession.
“He is a good coach who is very disciplined, serious and scientific in his approach to the game,” Mr Senaya said of their new coach.
He extolled the virtues of the Japanese coach, describing his stints with Hearts as remarkable “because he managed to transform Accra Hearts of Oak.” The Inter Allies deputy CEO said he was of the conviction that the coach deserves another chance with a Ghanaian club which was why Inter Allies signed him.
Details of the contract was kept under wraps, but the deputy CEO believes the limited options on the local scene as far as coaches were concerned also informed their choice of the expatriate trainer. He was confident Kenichi would replicate his transformational abilities to Inter Allies.
The Japanese trainer will be the third coach to handle the club in recent times after Prince Owusu was axed during the season to allow his assistant, Abdul Karim Zito, to take charge and help the club survive the relegation battle.
Kenichi will bring his wide range of experience to bear on Inter Allies after he also terminated his contract with Nigerian side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, last year following what he described as interference with his job.
The Japanese was credited for the resurgence of Hearts about two seasons ago when he turned the team into a winsome one which attracted more spectators to the stadium for Hearts matches.
