Defunct Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee Member, Kojo Yankah, has advised Coach of the Senior National Team, the Back Stars of Ghana, Kwesi Appiah to relinquish his position as the head coach the team after the painful exit from the ongoing Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

The former Western Regional FA chairman asserted that Kwesi Appiah by all standard is Good but he [Kwesi Appiah] is surrounded by colleagues who are not helping him.

“People are not helping coach Kwesi Appiah because, those around are not the people to help Ghana football move forward so even if he selects the best players, he will continue to face this disgrace. I will advise him to leave the job,” Kojo Yankah told Ohene Brenya Bampoe in an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports.’

He called on the president of the Normalization Committee of the FA Dr. Kofi Amoah, to expedite the process for the election of the FA to be held. “Dr. Kofi Amoah and his NC members should just organize the elections and leave our football for the right people to take charge.”

Tunisia advanced to the 2019 AFCON quarter-final as they defeated Ghana on penalties after a 1-1 draw after fulltime.

Ghana got off to a quick start, when Wakaso Mubarak sent an in-swinging crossed corner kick towards Thomas Partey, however, his header hit the post to reach Adre Ayew whose shot was saved by Mouez Hassen in the 16th minute.

Three minutes ahead of the halftime whistle, Ayew managed to find the back of Tunisia’s net, but the goal was denied for a handball on Partey.
