A new opinion poll by Global InfoAnalytics has put the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Matthew Nyindam, slightly ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Daniel Nsala Wakpal, ahead of the December 30 rerun in the Kpandai constituency.
According to the poll, Nyindam commands 50% of voter support, while Wakpal trails closely with 46%.
One per cent of respondents indicated support for other candidates, while 3% remain undecided.
Despite Nyindam’s four-point lead, Global InfoAnalytics notes that the contest remains statistically tied, as the margin of error for the poll stands at 3.9 per cent.
This suggests that the outcome of the rerun could still swing in either direction depending on voter turnout and last-minute campaign efforts.
The Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled the Kpandai parliamentary rerun for December 30, 2025, following a decision by the Tamale High Court to nullify the results of the earlier election in the constituency.
The court’s ruling paved the way for a fresh poll in selected areas to determine the legitimate winner of the seat.
