Kweku Baako flaunts Ahwoi committee’s report on diversion of premix

The Editor –in- Chief of  the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako has flaunted the Ato Ahwoi’s committee report on the diversion of premix fuel.
He said the Ato Ahwoi‘s committee was set up by the National Democratic Congress to help fight the canker that has plagued the fishing industry in terms of the diversion of the subsidized fuel.
‘’The committee’s report he said was a fantastic document that failed to deal with the canker in the sector because of the political collaborators in the industry ‘he said.
He commended the NDC government for putting up such a fantastic document in the fight against the diversion of the fuel.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of the Accra-based Kweku Baako Media Group who is also a regular panelist on the Kokorokoo morning show hosted by Kwame Sefa Kai on Accra-based Peace FM, the document prepared by the committee to curb the diversion of the subsidized fuel for the fisher folks across the country was a fantastic document and was intended to fight the canker of stealing from the state.
He said even though the document was fantastic, it failed to arrest the situation because of the class corruption corroborated by the political actors and the fisher folks themselves.
He added that the party in power failed to implement the report because party people as well as  some civil servants were neck deep in the diversion of the product.
The Editor was discussing the issue of the diversion of the product by same collaborators under the governing New Patriotic Party.
He said the issue is apolitical and there is the need for all the political actors to come together to fight the collaborators.
He explained that corruption in the system has made landing site committee members to siphon funds  that accrue from the sale of the fuel.
He revealed that as much three hundred trucks of premix fuel were diverted under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2015 and the same situation is happening under the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the National Petroleum Authority has said between April till date over two hundred trucks of premix fuel have gone missing.
