Chelsea legend, Michael Essien was full of praise for Nico William’s after the youngster’s breathtaking performance in the Euro 2024 final against England.
Nico Willam’s who was born to Ghanaian parents in Spain produced a man of the match performance in the finals of the Euro 2024 and scored to secure a 2-1 victory for the La Roja’s over England.
Reacting to the outcome of the game, the former Black Stars midfielder said he was happy for Nico Williams because the performance he put up in the Euro’s especially in the finals will shoot up his stocks.
“He was amazing, amazing. I mean, as a young player, turning up in this big game, scoring for your country, what more can I say? He has been fantastic,” he told Sporty TV.
Nico Williams before making his debut for Spain was eligible to play for Ghana but he opted to represent the country of his birth while his senior brother Inaki wore the Black Stars colors and played at the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
