Asante Kotoko legend, Samuel Opoku Nti has advised the current crop of players on what they must do to succeed should they get the chance to wear the famous red jersey in Kumasi.

According to Samuel Opoku Nti, the first thing any player must do succeed at Asante Kotoko is to love the club and treat it as if he will never get the chance to play for any other club.

He also stated that players often put in their maximum best to be able to enter the Kotoko fraternity but forget to put in more hardwork at the club before the comfort they get and its ends up affecting them on the pitch.

“You first have to love Asante Kotoko as the only option you got at the professional level and it will motivate you to work extra hard because the pressure is like non other in Ghana.”

“Many players out perform in other for the club to notice and sign them but get too comfortable when they finally get to wear the jersey and that is a major problem. The players need to change that attitude because you will need to work extra hard to be able to succeed at Asante Kotoko,” Samuel Opoku Nti said in an interview with Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy Sports.
