The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has condemned what it describes as “false narratives” being circulated on social media about the conduct and work ethic of the sector Minister, Abla Dzifa Gomashie.

In a statement issued and signed by Delassie Mabel Awuku, Head of Public Relations, the Ministry labeled the allegations reportedly made by a social media personality as “wholly unfounded” and “gravely misleading.”

“These assertions, portraying the Minister as disrespectful and unprofessional, are not only wholly unfounded but also gravely misleading. They represent a blatant mischaracterization of an individual who has consistently demonstrated humility, dedication, and tireless service to the cultural advancement of our nation,” the statement read.

The Ministry further highlighted the Minister’s long-standing commitment to engaging stakeholders, industry players, and the public with openness, mutual respect, and a strong focus on promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

It warned the public to be cautious of content creators and individuals who prioritize sensationalism over truth and spread misinformation for attention.

The Ministry called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to reject the misleading claims and continue supporting efforts to preserve, celebrate, and promote Ghana’s tourism and creative arts sectors.

Directors of the Ministry have demanded an unqualified apology from those responsible for what they described as “blatant lies” targeting the Minister and the Ministry.
