Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, has pledged to lead an inclusive government that benefits all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or demographic.

He emphasized his commitment to unity and national development, stating that his presidency will prioritize the well-being of all citizens. Dr. Bawumia’s historic candidacy as a Muslim presidential candidate marks a significant turning point in Ghana’s political landscape, signaling a shift towards greater diversity and inclusivity in leadership.

He expressed his determination to break down barriers and ensure equal opportunities for all, drawing on his own experiences as a northerner and a Muslim. By becoming President, Dr. Bawumia aims to prove that anyone can lead Ghana, regardless of their background, and bring prosperity to all.

In addressing a gathering of Imams during his campaign tour of the Bono Region in Sunyani, Dr Bawumia unveils plans to establish three Islamic Colleges of Education.
These institutions, spread across the Northern, Middle, and Coastal belts, signify a strategic investment in education tailored to the needs of the Muslim community.

“I want to become President for all to benefit. At first, those of us from the North thought we had been sidelined in the country’s governance. That’s why when I became Vice President, I advocated the Zongo development fund,” he said.
