The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has initiated an immediate investigation into a disturbing TikTok video involving a trainer and a recruit at the National Ambulance Training School in Nkenkaasu.
In a statement issued and signed by the Deputy Director of Public Relations, Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, NAS management confirmed that the video, which has been widely circulated on social media, features one of its trainers, Philip Kwame Twumasi, and a recruit, Karim Latif.
According to the Service, the footage depicts conduct that raises serious concerns. NAS condemned any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behaviour, describing the actions seen in the video as “deeply disturbing.”
The Service stressed that it is investigating the matter and will take immediate disciplinary action against the trainer should he be found culpable.
“The safety and well-being of our recruits is our top priority,” the statement emphasised.
NAS further reassured the public of its commitment to fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and professionalism, adding that it would not tolerate behaviour that undermines these values.
“We appreciate the public’s concern and assure you that we are taking this matter very seriously,” the statement concluded, noting that further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
