The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is making frantic efforts to bring back the suspended ‘bronya’ mood by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the NDC, it is three days to the birth of Christ and there is nothing in the air to show for.
A Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, Mahdi Jibril made this comment on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ socio-political show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He said since the NPP assumed power everything is going wayward and common ‘bronya’ too has been postponed by the party.
People don’t have money in their pockets whilst government appointees are jollying around with people around the presidency charging ‘appearance fees.’
He explained that knowing the NPP and its penchant for launching almost everything it lays hands on,it is waiting for the president to launch this year’s ‘bronya’ before Ghanaians can celebrate it
He said this year’s Christmas festivities seem to have been suspended by the Nana Addo’s government because more and more Ghanaians are not enthused about this year’s festivities.
According to him, everywhere Ghanaians are complaining about petrol prices, electricity hikes among others.
