Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini has disclosed that, even though the minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) walked out of Parliament when President Akufo-Addo was about to deliver the State of the Nation Address (SONA), some of them watched the video of the ongoing speech by the President.

In an interview on the Happy Morning Show aired on Happy 98.9FM, he stated: “When we moved out, others in our party followed the speech. However, some of us were having a press statement. Since then, many of us have had the opportunity to relook at the SONA video”.

He noted that even though he was not physically present for the President’s speech, he was unimpressed by the President’s delivery on the fight against corruption. According to him, “the president was very evasive on the issue of corruption”.

“His answers were vague. ‘I am fighting corruption so I bring the Company’s Act, Special Prosecutor, Witness Protection, now I have passed RTI’ and so for the President, that is fighting corruption”, he added.

The Minority in Parliament, yesterday, staged a walk-out during President’s Akufo-Addo’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA). The Minority legislators who were clad in black attires walked out of Parliament after the national anthem was sang.
