The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Running Mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to continuing the Free Secondary Education Policy, dispelling rumors of its potential abolition.

Addressing supporters in New Tafo Zongo as part of her one day tour at Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region on Wednesday June 26, she assured that the next Mahama administration would build upon the progress made, addressing issues like congestion, providing adequate learning materials, and ensuring students receive proper nutrition.

She emphasized that former President Mahama would not discontinue the policy, which was initiated under his leadership as “progressively free” education.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang appealed to Ghanaians to ignore the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) misinformation campaign and instead cast their ballots for John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate, in the upcoming 2024 elections.
